The California Association of REALTORS ® has hosted Fair Housing Day for its fifth year. In these past five years, the fair housing landscape in California—and across the nation—has undergone profound transformation. Nationally, momentum is shifting as federal leaders introduced H.R. 3086 (2025), legislation aimed at restoring HUD’s fair housing mission and reversing recent regulatory rollbacks. On a local level, cities and counties are integrating Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) principles into their housing elements with renewed urgency. Yet, California continues to confront persistent challenges: residential displacement, unequal access to opportunity, and the long‑term impacts of Southern California’s devastating wildfires.

This session brings together leading voices from across California to reflect on five years of change, potential, and prosperity in fair housing. Panelists will examine what has worked, what remains unfinished, and what REALTORS® need to know to champion positive housing outcomes. This session will signal a pivotal moment to move Fair Housing Forward—from policy intention to measurable progress.
